Chinese shrine, mysterious statue embedded in patching compound and shattered mirror, one-way and two-way mirror, red light bulb

The world within the mirrors appears to exist, but it is merely a reflection of light. Similarly, there is no conclusive evidence for the actual existence of the deities. The statues are covered by the mirrors, and in seeking their presence, one can only see one's own reflection. The nature of what lies behind the deities on the shrine is unknown, but it can be stated with certainty that the image reflected in the mirror is our own true existence.
